Jaki Leontiev · Certified Naturopath
Hi, I'm Jaki.
My Story
My journey into health started as a competitive Latin American dancer.
While completing my bachelor's degree in kinesiology, I became deeply committed to dance
and began training at a highly competitive level. I trained intensely, without knowing how
to properly feed my body or realizing the impact it would have, and eventually lost my
menstrual cycle for nearly three years.
What began as a missing period evolved into weight gain, anxiety, and a diagnosis of PCOS.
When I sought help, I was prescribed the medication metformin, but I knew that wasn't
addressing the root cause of what had led to my hormonal imbalances in the first place.
Determined to find answers, I took my health into my own hands. What started as a personal
search for healing completely changed the direction of my life. I shifted my career path
and began studying naturopathy, immersing myself in the study of nutrition, hormones, and
the foundations of natural health.
Along the way, I learned the fundamentals of health that no one had ever taught me: the
power of the sun, proper nutrition, and real hydration, just to name a few.
As I applied these principles, my cycle returned, my hormones rebalanced, the weight came
off, and I finally felt like myself again.
That experience changed everything. It led me to become a naturopath and sparked a passion
for helping others understand what I wish I had known sooner: that the body has an
incredible capacity to come back into a state of balance when given the right conditions.
Today, I combine my background in kinesiology, naturopathy, and my lifelong fascination
with human performance, biology, and health optimization to help people address root
causes and create lasting vitality.
My Approach
My philosophy
Our healthcare system is built to detect disease. But between disease and optimal health
lies a whole world that’s too often ignored. It’s where your restless sleep, your
digestion struggles, your energy swings, and the fatigue no one can explain all live. No
diagnosis, and yet you feel something’s off.
My goal isn't simply to help you avoid disease. It's to help you move toward health.
Because long before illness appears, your body is already moving in a direction. My
role is to help you change that direction before it becomes a diagnosis.
your direction is more important
than your speed
So here’s the shift: health changes when you stop being a passive observer and become
an active participant in your health. You move from managing illness to creating wellness. And that
begins with knowledge: understanding your body and having the tools to take action.
How I work
Your body is one interconnected ecosystem. Pull one string and the whole web moves, which
is why a symptom is rarely about just one thing. It’s your body telling you you’ve drifted
off balance.
The good news is it works both ways. Change one keystone habit and it tips the next, like
dominoes. You eat better, so you sleep better. You sleep better, so those headaches you’ve
fought for months finally fade. It becomes an upward spiral.
That’s where I come in. My job is to make sure your terrain, your body, has the basics for
optimal health, aligned with nature’s laws and your own biochemistry. In practice, whatever
symptom brings someone to me, I almost always find the same thing underneath: the
foundations are missing, usually because no one ever taught them clearly.
So my work has two sides. I give your body the resources to find its balance again, through
your daily behaviour, food, movement, and light. And as an educator, I hand you back your
power, with the knowledge you need to keep it, to make it your lifestyle.
My work is grounded in five fundamental pillars of health. Together, we will explore
these foundations and identify where your body needs support most, meeting you exactly
where you are in your wellness journey.
Stress management. We start here, teaching your nervous
system it’s safe.
Detoxification. We lighten the toxic load and help your
body clear the rest.
Circadian rhythm. We resync your internal clock so
sleep, energy, and hormones fall back into place.
Fuel. We turn food, hydration, and supplementation into
a signal your body can use to your advantage.
Movement. We make it a daily non negotiable in a way
that is sustainable for you.
We work at the root, in the small daily choices that shape how you feel. You hold the
power. I’m here to give you the knowledge to use it.
How I follow you
It all starts with
your first free discovery call.
It's how I get to know you a bit more, and your opportunity to ask questions about my
approach, clarify it, and see if it resonates with your needs.
If it does, we book your five sessions, ideally one per week for five weeks. Together we
dive into each pillar and what lifestyle change will look like for you. I work simply,
with a shared Google Doc where I add extra information and the specific things, numbers,
and names I want you to remember.
Most of our sessions are conversational. I don't want you following a protocol blindly. I
want to make sure you understand and integrate the information, so the change is truly
yours.
You can expect guidance through all five pillars to transform your life. But you need to
be ready, because it is an investment: of time, energy, and finances. If you feel ready,
it will be an honour to be your guide through this transformative journey.
Why I work this way
When I started out, I built big, detailed protocols. I wanted my clients to know
everything, so I gave them a lot. The enthusiasm would peak, then fade by week three, and
they’d slip back to old patterns. That’s the mindset I want to change: a protocol is
something you follow until you feel better, then put down. We’re building a lifestyle
instead, the real foundations of health that stay with you for good.
I want you to understand why you’re doing what you’re doing. Because when you attach meaning
to your actions, that’s the key to trading old habits for better ones.
Information becomes transformation through integration and implementation.
